Privacy Policy
How we handle your data. Short version: we don't collect much, we don't sell anything, and your test scores never leave your browser.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
The short version
- We do not require accounts. You can use the site without telling us who you are.
- Your test scores are saved to your browser's local storage, not to our servers. Clearing your browser data erases them.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
- We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not track individual users across sessions.
- If you email us, we keep your email for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and then delete it.
What we collect
Almost nothing. Specifically:
- Test scores: stored in your browser's local storage under the key
tmr:history:v1. This data never leaves your device. We have no server-side database of scores. - Theme preference: stored in your browser as a cookie or local storage entry. Used to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode.
- Aggregate, anonymised analytics: we may use a privacy-friendly analytics tool (such as Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics) that reports aggregate page views without cookies or cross-site tracking. These tools do not collect personal data.
- Email correspondence: if you email us, we receive your email address and message content. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
What we do not collect
- Accounts or email addresses (unless you email us).
- IP addresses (our analytics tool does not store them).
- Cross-site tracking cookies.
- Device fingerprints.
- Mouse movement or click pattern data.
- Individual test scores (they live only in your browser).
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies. Specifically:
- A theme preference cookie (light/dark mode) — first-party, persists across sessions.
- If we run analytics, it may set a single first-party cookie for aggregate counting. No third-party tracking cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing cookies, or social media tracking pixels. We do not participate in any cross-site tracking network.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process request logs as part of providing the hosting service, but we do not share any personal data with Cloudflare beyond what is inherently part of serving the website. If we add analytics, we will name the specific provider here.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data in any centralised way, most data rights (access, deletion, portability) are exercised by clearing your browser data. Your test history is in your local storage; deleting it removes it permanently.
If you have emailed us and want your correspondence deleted, reply to the email thread or send a new email to privacy@testmyreaction.com and we will remove your message from our archives.
Children's privacy
This site does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The reaction time test is functional without any account or personal information, so children can use it without sharing anything with us. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted here with a summary of what changed.
